Located under 15 miles from your new home at Knightdale’s largest master planned community, Knightdale Station, Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC plays host all summer long to one of America’s great summertime tradition’s as Carolina Mudcats Baseball provides an inexpensive night of fun for the whole family throughout the entire season.

An Eastern Wake County summer tradition since relocating to Zebulon in July of 1991, Carolina Mudcats Baseball brings many adults back to a simpler time and afternoons and evenings at the ballpark with their own family’s from days gone by. The minor league Single A affiliate of Major League Baseball’s (MLB) Atlanta Braves, Carolina Mudcats Baseball showcases tomorrow’s future stars of the big leagues today in the fantastic and fun setting that is Zebulon’s Five County Stadium.

In addition to providing East Wake families with some fantastic sports action on the field, there may be no other organization as involved in the local community’s school programs and fundraising efforts than the Carolina Mudcats Baseball organization. Likewise, the ball club goes out of their way to provide many great promotions and giveaways throughout the season to make a night at the stadium for the family an affordable and enjoyable one while coming out to “root for the home team.”

Keeping all at the park involved in the game, every home game played at Five County Stadium on a Tuesday night is the Carolina Mudcats Baseball team’s “Trending Tuesday” promotion. This allows members of the crowd on these nights to submit photos and messages through social media including Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram that interacts and are shown during the game on the huge “Mudzila” video board at Five County Stadium. Wednesday night’s with the Carolina Mudcats Baseball team are also aimed at the family coming out to enjoy one of the most traditional ballpark meals of all time, as on “Wiener Wednesday” home games Bright Leaf hot dogs are only $1 each throughout the entire ball game. Likewise, the Mudcats’ Thursday night home game tradition is “Thirsty Thursday.” This special promotion from the Carolina Mudcats Baseball team allows the adults to enjoy 16-ounce draft beers for just $2 each and for the youngsters all 12-ounce Coca-Cola products are just $1.

In addition to each of these family friendly special promotions throughout the season at Five County Stadium, there are also an array of free giveaways, starting this upcoming Saturday, June 18, on “’Canes and ‘Cats Night,” when the Mudcats honor the 2005-06 Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and the first 1,200 fans in attendance that are age 15 and older will receive a free Hurricanes travel mug. The following day, to celebrate the dad’s out there on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19, the first 1,200 fans in attendance receive a souvenir Mudcats BBQ apron. Giveaways like these continue throughout the home schedule for Carolina Mudcats Baseball at Five County Stadium, and there are also several dates throughout the season where the team puts on a spectacular fireworks display at the game’s conclusion. The next date for the post-game firework will be this Friday, June 17 and then every night during the Mudcats Independence Day homestand ranging from Friday July1- Monday, July 4.
