‘Tis the Season for Knightdale Holiday Events

Knightdale Holiday Events

The holiday season is one that families and communities alike always look forward to with great joy, and with all of the fantastic Knightdale Holiday Events coming up on the calendar set to kick off with two in November, you and your family and Knightdale Station are in the perfect location to “deck the halls” and “give thanks” for all of these wonderful activities.

It never hurts to get a jump start on your holiday and Christmas shopping, and the first of several Knightdale Holiday Events not only gives residents a chance to get ahead, but also to buy local and support community businesses at the annual Knightdale Holiday Fair.

The Holiday Fair will be held at the Knightdale Recreation Center on Saturday, November 12 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with over 30 local businesses and vendors expected to be on hand for the first of two Knightdale Holiday Events to help you start (or finish) your holiday shopping.

The second of the Knightdale Holiday Events on the schedule is the annual Turkey Leg 5K which starts at Knightdale Station on Thanksgiving morning, November 24. This popular “fun run/walk” has become a “Turkey Day” tradition in town and starts at 8:30 a.m with registration for the event currently under way. Regardless of weather conditions, rain, shine, sleet, or snow, the “healthiest” of the Knightdale Holiday Events on the calendar will take place, helping everyone to feel a little less guilty when they indulge in the Thanksgiving Day feast later in the day. Thanksgiving themed attire is encouraged, bu not necessary for the Turkey Leg 5K runners or walkers.

If you have interest in being a part of either of these upcoming Knightdale Holiday Events in the month of December, you may contact Michelle Wester at 919-217-2232 or Megan Thornton at 919-217-2236.

For those interested in being a vendor at the Holiday Fair, your registration form must accompany payment and certificate of revenue and be approved by staff.
