Beginning on the last weekend in May and running through the summer and into early fall, the 2015 Knightdale Farmers market will be held every Saturday afternoon, bringing the freshest and best in local produce, baked goods, and even crafts to Knightdale Station Park.
Fifteen great local vendors are already signed on to be a part of the 2015 Knightdale Farmers Market, offering up the best local goods that can be found in a great community setting that the whole family can enjoy. Giving you a selection of the greatest locally grown fruits and vegetables each week will be Rob’s Fresh Produce, Red Umbrella Heirlooms, Right on Tyme, and Candor Peaches. If you are seeking the finest in baked goods and sweet treats, Bread and Wreaths by Rosetta, Iced Cupcakes, Martha’s Kitchen, A Beautiful Cupcake, and Brachi-Le Petit Roll will all be at the weekly events at Knightdale Station Park. Walk Ahead Farms will be selling fresh eggs and cuts of pasture raised meats including pork, turkey, chicken, goat, rabbit and duck. Barking Lot Treats and More will be at the market as well, with unique frozen and homemade treats for your canine friends and Tink and Twist, Sassy Bliss Boutique, Juanita Martin, and Annie P’s Soy Candles will each also be a part of the Knightdale Farmers Market, each offering their own handmade jewelry, crafts, candles, and more.
The 2015 Knightdale Farmers Market will begin each Saturday at 2 p.m. and run until 6 p.m. With the new overhead shelters now built at the beautiful Knightdale Station Park, this years market will be even more convenient for community members to come out and support their local farmers and business owners. This years’ Knightdale Farmers Market will begin on Saturday, May 30 and run weekly until Saturday, October 10. The only two weekends not scheduled are due to the holidays surrounding both Saturday, July 4 and September 5.

The “Food Truck Thursday” event began in April and has been met with a great response throughout the Knightdale area. Show casing a different truck each week has given workers on their lunch break or even parents and grandparents with their little ones at the Knightdale Station new home community’s playground a delicious and fun way to try out some of the area’s most unique lunch options.
This upcoming Thursday, May 21, “Virgil’s Jamaica” will have their truck at Knightdale Station Park from 11-2, offering Jamaican and Indian fare, including some of their most popular offerings, jerk chicken, brown stew, chicken, Caribbean shrimp, among a whole host of other tasty options.
The last week of May will be a busy one for food lovers at Knightdale Station Park, as the final Thursday of the month will see “Amigosan,” featured at Knightdale Station Park on May 28. Staying true to their slogan, “It’s NACHO everyday Taco, Amigosan gives you the choice of either steak, chicken, pork, or tofu in a variety of unique ethnic themed tacos, in addition to their popular sides that include loaded tater tots and loaded nachos that can be ordered in any of the “global styles” that the tacos are offered in.
Just two days later, closing out the “Food Truck” events for the month of May will be the “Food Truck Rodeo” on Saturday, May 30. Due to the popularity of the Food Truck events in Knightdale, the rodeo will return to Knightdale Station Park, from 11am-2pm and will feature five different rucks, as “Bam Pow Chow,”“Bulkogi Korean BBQ,” “Chirba Chirba Dumpling,” “Kona Ice,” and “Rolling Bistro” have all been selected to take part in this event.
“Food Truck Thursday” will continue to run throughout the summer, with the vendors already announced for the month of June to include the traditional and global BBQ and gourmet sandwiches of “Cock-A- Doodle Moo” and “Stuft,” who will be serving up their famous gourmet baked potatoes. In addition, the returning “Virgil’s Jamaica,” and “Chirba Chirba Dumpling,” will also once again be at Knightdale Station Park for the final two Thursday’s in June.
