NC Breweries and Wineries offering up “Drafts and Carafes” at Knightdale Station

Drafts and Carafes at the Station

On Thursday, October 17, Knightdale Station Park will play host to some of the finest NC Breweries and Wineries in addition to several of the most popular area food trucks, for a night filled with great tastes and fine crafts as a part of the Town of Knightdale’s first ever “Drafts and Carafes” event.

Of the NC Breweries and Wineries scheduled to be present on October 17, the most local of all will be Oak City Brewing Company, who is the “First Knightdale Brewery since prohibition,” and whose taproom actually backs up to Knightdale Station Park, at 616 North First Avenue. Smithfield’s Double Barley Brewing will also be on hand among the NC Breweries and Wineries at “Drafts and Carafes,” as will Nickelpoint Brewing Company of Raleigh.

Representing the local wineries as a part of the event will be Neusiok Wines of Raleigh, who invites you to “come and experience the taste.” Gregory Vineyards of Angier and Willow Springs’ Adams Vineyards will also be bringing the unique flavor only achieved in a North Carolina wine to the Knightdale Station Park event.

A familiar site to residents who frequent Knightdale Station Park will be the variety of Food Trucks on hand along side the various NC Breweries and Wineries represented at “Drafts and Carafes.” The popular and delicious seafood offerings of Cousin’s Maine Lobster, which was recently named as the number 3 “Best Food Truck” in the nation will be returning to the park, as will the “artists of casual food,” Bam Pow Chow. The smoked, local BBQ flavors of The Humble Pig will be on hand as well, and the “sophisticated indulgences with European style” served up by Brachi-Le Petit Roll will also be available. Those looking for their “sweet tooth” fix will not be disappointed either, as Two Roosters Ice Cream will also be serving up frozen treats at the event. Likewise, GerDan Chocolates will be offering their unique hand crafted truffles, chocolates, caramels, and beer confections also.

The “Drafts and Carafes” event begins at 4:00 p.m and runs until 8:00 on October 17. In addition to the fantastic food, beverage, and crafts options for all to sample, there will be great live music provided by local acts and so much more.
