Right on-site at the Knightdale Station neighborhood, the Knightdale Summer Events schedule will have it “rockin’ at the Station.” Taking place on the Knightdale Station Amphitheater stage, on the last Friday of the month (June- August) will be the “Last Friday Concert Series.”

What could be better than a warm, summer night under the stars with a free night of live music? This is what is on schedule for the Last Friday Concert Series at Knightdale Station. Oh yeah…as for how it could be better? How about with locally made brews, spirits and food trucks to enjoy the tastes of the community to go with the hottest local bands around?
Yes, starting on the last Friday in June and returning in both July and August, this will be the scene from 6:30-9:30 pm. Our friendly neighbors at Oak City Brewing Company will be on hand serving up “cold ones,” as will Lassiter Distillery with its delicious rum drinks. Top it all off with a different choice in local food trucks each week and “Last Fridays” have all the makings of classic Knightdale Summer Events.

The spectacular Knightdale Station Amphitheater was designed by Tony Johnson and will play as host to the “Last Friday Concerts.” The amphitheater also is used in nearly all Knightdale Summer Events and on a year-round basis for events at the park
These Knightdale Summer Events are family friendly and admission is completely free. The Knightdale Park and Recreation Department hosts these events and encourage you to bring blankets and chairs for seating.

“First Friday Films” Brings Movie Night Back to Knightdale Station Park

That’s right, of all Knightdale Family Events, none may scream “Summer” like an outdoor movie night. So, after an absence, the Knightdale Parks and Recreation Department brings you “First Friday Films”
Each of these special Knightdale Family Events will take place on the first Friday of the month. (Hence the name…) There will be fun activities for the kids at the park on these nights starting at 7:30 pm. Each of the movies will start at dusk when the “big screen” goes up. It is encouraged to bring your own chairs and blankets.

A “Tasty Twist” to a Movie in the Park
In addition to enjoying a movie in the park with the family, “First Friday Films” adds another Knightdale Station staple to this summer’s Knightdale Family Events. That staple is the always popular food trucks that will be on hand at each “First Friday.”
