The youngsters in town have many choices in the upcoming year. Whether they enjoy, music or sports or whatever else they prefer, the town parks and recreation department deliver! In the upcoming months alone, there are several great programs and Knightdale Youth Activities that the kids can sign up for.
In this and our next post, we will discuss many of the great Knightdale Youth Activities that your youngsters have the option of trying.
Music and Movement: Getting Creative with Knightdale Youth Activities
Starting on January 7 and running every Tuesday throughout the month will be the Music and Movement program. The classes will be held each week from 10:30- 11:00 a.m. at the Knightdale Recreation Center.
According to the Town of Knightdale website, these fun-filled, and stimulating Knightdale Youth Activities are described as follows.
“A creative atmosphere where your child will interact with their peers through a variety of movement and music-based activities.”
It continues describing the program, stating. “We will do dancing, jumping, basic tumbling, ball and sports activities, parachute, instruments and other fun things that will vary each class to keep your child interested and learning along with our theme.”
The Knightdale Recreation Center is located at 102 Lawson Ridge Road in Knightdale.

Knightdale Youth Activities Feature Sports for all Seasons
The sports available for both girls and boys as a part of the Knightdale Youth Activities offer plenty of options as well. Each of these active lifestyles, and of course giving your best effort. Supporting this is a statement from knightdalenc.gov that reads as follows.
“Knightdale Youth Athletics are designed to provide a competitive recreation opportunity that promotes fitness and well-being to participants in a team sports setting. Knightdale Youth Athletic Programs aim to encourage participation, sportsmanship, skill development, and fun.”
Tennis Academy: A Newer Option for the Knightdale Kids
Also, this first year that the “Tennis Academy” is offered among Knightdale Youth Activities. Partnering with the Raleigh Tennis association and Try Tennis, the town is excited to add the choices for the kids.
The “Tennis Academy” is a clinic that will build and develop fundamental skills in the attendees. It will feature guest instruction and speakers in addition to hands-on training.
This program will run on Tuesday nights throughout the winter. These following is today; schedule of event
Knightdale Tennis Academy Tuesday Night’s Schedules
(No Clinic on December 17)
- 5:30-6:30 p.m.– Ages 5-10
- 6:30-7:30 p.m.- Ages 11-17
- 7:30-8:30 p.m.– Ages 18 and up
Introducing the Knightdale Volleyball Academy
Another new program for Knightdale Youth Activities is the Volleyball Academy. Described at the official town of Knightdale website as a “skill development clinic including instruction from Raleigh Volleyball Club coaches, players, and guest speakers.
These new programs will begin in April and the clinic will be two nights a week. As noted above, the Knightdale Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with the Raleigh Volleyball Club for this first-ever Volleyball Academy. Registration is from February 1-March 15.
