Just as the Spring Sprouts Fest on Saturday, April 15 will mark the opening of one seasonal tradition, the Market at Knightdale Station, and other favorite event all residents look forward to once the weather gets warmer will commence on Sunday, April 15, as there will be a Knightdale Food Truck Rodeo at Knightdale Station Park, kicking off the bi-weekly visits the trucks make with no less than eight different “tasty visitors” set to be on hand serving up goodies.
In the spirit of the previous days’ festival, this Knightdale Food Truck Rodeo, will also bear the name “Spring Sprouts,” and many of the trucks that residents can expect to see at the upcoming “Food Truck Thursdays,” will be featured to give you an earlier taste of what to expect.
The “whole hog BBQ and smoked meats” of Long Leaf Swine will be on hand on April 15 serving up what has become one of the more sought-after BBQ experiences in the Triangle. Likewise, Daddy Bob’s BBQ is also sure to have a long line at the Knightdale Food Truck Rodeo for their famous pulled pork or smoked chicken. Yet another of the area’s most popular BBQ food trucks will also be …”at the Station” for the event, as “The Humble Pig,” will also be present.
For those looking for what they describe as food with “Southern soul, Caribbean flair, and Euro-African roots,” The Boricua Soul Food Truck will be present, as will the Merry Franksters, who urge you to “feed the hunger inside” with one of their delicious specialty pork, beef, or veggie dogs and sausages. Morfa Empanada will also be at the Knightdale Food Truck Rodeo, offering several regular and even a dessert-like sweet empanada at the event.
Speaking of the sweet treats, Coco Forte Cheesecakes, and JAM Ice Cream will also have trucks at the Spring Sprout Knightdale food truck Rodeo once you are ready for dessert.
The Spring Sprout Knightdale food Truck Rodeo on Sunday, April 15 kicks off at 11 am and runs until 3 pm at Knightdale Station Park. For more details on this and all other upcoming Town of Knightdale events, visit knightdalenc.gov
